- Navigate to Turf Map from the sidebar menu.
- Select the universe you would like to cut turf in. If you do not have a universe already made, you will have to do this first. If you do not know how to create a universe, check out our tutorial on universes here.
- Beside your universe, you will see the total number of doors and voters in your universe. Clusters of numbers will appear on a map before you.
- Select one of the clusters to zoom in and start cutting turf. You can adjust how your map looks by using the scroll bar on the small box that says Cut Turf Zoom Level. This changes the zoom level at which voters are clustered.
- To start cutting your turf, click on + Draw New Turf to select where you would like to have the canvasser start. A small box will appear. You can create small clusters to group voters/doors together. Once you are pleased with what you have selected, close the shape. This is your first turf. You can see how many doors/voters are in this turf.
- Try keeping your turfs relatively small, with around 50-60 voters per turf. Keep in mind that your campaign workers will have to work this route, so try and keep the doors all in the same area so they do not have to walk a lot.
- Once you’re done cutting turf, select the turfs you'd like to print and click Print. You will now be allowed to choose a script for your turf. Then you’re all set.
