You may want to edit a user’s permissions. For instance, if you would like to change a user’s firewall designation, add new contact information, or change their expiration date to extend their account. Similar to removing an account, navigate to the Staff & Vols section to find your contact.
You will be brought to this page where you change a multitude of things for your user. You can disable users, change their phone number, and adjust their firewall designations based on which campaign they're working on. All changes you make will be automatically saved.
To disable a user, simply click on Disable next to Status.
Troubleshooting:
Some accounts may be locked by the creator, thus restricting your ability to disable the user. If this is the case, hover over the Locked icon to see who locked the account. If possible, contact this person and let them know you would like to disable a user. If you cannot contact the person who locked the account, then please submit a ticket to the Votivate Support Team.
We have five different user profiles / admin roles in Votivate:
-
- Admin
- Organizing Director
- Field Staff
- Lead Volunteer
- Canvasser
If you scroll down on someone's profile, you will be brought to a section where you can edit their permissions.
If you would like to know more about our different user roles, you can find a breakdown of them here.
